[21:26]<sunlxrnn>MickMcMack!
[21:26]<jdddnd__>Why so glum?
[21:27]<runsvyw>note to self: "async sockets"
[21:27]<myrrmrmrrr>finger
[21:28]<myrrmrmrrr>cricket ball
[21:28]<myrrmrmrrr>ow
[21:28]<myrrmrmrrr>:(
[21:28]<sunlxrnn>guestix: non blocking sockets would probably be better still
[21:28]<myrrmrmrrr>Can't even type with right hand. :(
[21:29]<sunlxrnn>MickMcMack: can you hold the bat to beat the person who threw it at you?
[21:30]<runsvyw>well i found a tutorial on that somewhere, 1 version with blocking sockets, and 1 version with nonblocking, they both worked, but not too good... no way good enough for a game where you would have to shoot and hit your opponent
[21:31]<sunlxrnn>guestix: it might vary a lot by implementation
[21:31]<myrrmrmrrr>didn't throw it, hit it up in the air.
[21:31]<myrrmrmrrr>i sjould've cautht it.
[21:31]<myrrmrmrrr>my typing officially sucjs. :(
[21:31]<sunlxrnn>MickMcMack: I guess there is no such thing as catcher gloves in criket
[21:31]<sunlxrnn>I've never seen them if there are
[21:32]<jdddnd__>Who needs catcher gloves, when you're a bad-ass
[21:32]<myrrmrmrrr>only the wicket keepr gets them.
[21:32]<sunlxrnn>is the wicket keeper the guy behind the guy with the bat?
[21:33]<2uac>what's the best way to make a window in a wall? booleans or manual face work?
[21:33]<jdddnd__>Teh manual
[21:33]<2uac>alright, thanks =)
[21:33]<sunlxrnn>buck: rects inset in rects are pretty easy to do manually
[21:33]<2uac>insets?
[21:34]<2uac>you mean you can draw a rect on a wall and push it out?
[21:34]<jdddnd__>That's what I do, I start with a plane, duplicate it, make it smaller, and then join the inner plane with the outer plane, and delete the face in the middle
[21:34]<sunlxrnn>buck: no, but you can grab the edge of the wall, extrude hit escape scale, position extrude
[21:34]<2uac>ahh okay
[21:36]<2uac>I finished my first chair \o/
[21:36]<myrrmrmrrr>Surphaze, yes.
[21:36]<2uac>although I'm still a newbie: http://images.xieke.com/chair.png
[21:36]<myrrmrmrrr>buck, nie :)
[21:37]<sunlxrnn>buck: yeah nice chair
[21:37]<myrrmrmrrr>Surphaze, one day i'll take you to a gamr!
[21:37]<2uac>=D
[21:37]<sunlxrnn>MickMcMack: heh, it can't be worse then baseball :)
[21:37]<myrrmrmrrr>bettar!
[21:37]<mzfyzjz>buck: don't chairs like that usually have a frame at the bottom?
[21:37]<sunlxrnn>MickMcMack: well if it can't be worse, then it must be better
[21:38]<2uac>Surphaze: make sure you bring a sleeping bag and plenty of food
[21:38]<2uac>Maligor: do you mean halfway down the legs for added stability?
[21:38]<sunlxrnn>buck: long?
[21:38]<2uac>Surphaze: cricket games can take days
[21:38]<mzfyzjz>buck: I ment under the bit you sit on
[21:38]<sunlxrnn>buck: yikes
[21:38]<myrrmrmrrr>there are one dayers.
[21:38]<myrrmrmrrr>and the 20:20
[21:38]<zvxzyffnz>Hello
[21:38]<2uac>Maligor: what kind of frame? something the cushion should rest on?
[21:39]<zvxzyffnz>how to make a spring curve?
[21:39]<2uac>cricket is the only sport that incorporates meal breaks
[21:39]<mzfyzjz>buck: nono, I ment something to attach the legs on properly
[21:39]<sunlxrnn>rthriller: screw
[21:39]<2uac>ooh
[21:39]<2uac>yes, I suppose they should, really
[21:39]<2uac>I'll add a frame around it
[21:39]<mzfyzjz>the chair just looks a bit thin to have legs attached to the sitting bit
[21:39]<zvxzyffnz>what do I have to screw?
[21:40]<myrrmrmrrr>buck, yep. :)
[21:40]<2uac>but for now I'll have to get ready to watch the game
[21:40]<myrrmrmrrr>It's also one of the only sports that doesn't have a women's version.
[21:40]<myrrmrmrrr>It's still pure!
[21:40]<myrrmrmrrr>:3
[21:40]<sunlxrnn>no woman's cricket?
[21:40]<2uac>it's also the only sport where spectators burn as many calories as the participants
[21:41]<myrrmrmrrr>>_>
[21:41]<mzfyzjz>buck: how so?
[21:41]<2uac>no, I wasn't serious
[21:41]<sunlxrnn>but there is womans rugby?
[21:41]<myrrmrmrrr>Surphaze, yes/
[21:41]<2uac>I just like making fun of cricket
[21:41]<sunlxrnn>MickMcMack: peculair
[21:41]<mzfyzjz>buck: and the only sport where the participants get as much an ache in the bottom as the spectators
[21:42]<zvxzyffnz>Surphaze, What to screw?
[21:42]<sunlxrnn>rthriller: ah just a sec
[21:42]<myrrmrmrrr>rthriller, I suggest you start on halley. ¬_¬
[21:43]<zvxzyffnz>why?
[21:44]<myrrmrmrrr>it was a joke. :\
[21:44]<zvxzyffnz>hmmm, I am not strong enough in english to understand jokes ;)
[21:45]<myrrmrmrrr>xD
[21:45]<sunlxrnn>rthriller: its a bit confusing, trying to find something with pics
[21:45]<zvxzyffnz>xD?
[21:46]<zvxzyffnz>ok
[21:46]<sunlxrnn>rthriller: http://www.blender.org/modules/documentation/htmlI/x3040.html
[21:47]<zvxzyffnz>ok, thanx
[21:47]<zvxzyffnz>gonna check
[21:47]<sunlxrnn>its a interesting tool once you get used to the weird way you use it
[21:48]<zvxzyffnz>I was trying to make a twisted pillar but I didnt found a twist deformer
[21:48]<sunlxrnn>this should work for that
[21:49]<zvxzyffnz>I hope :)
