[22:41]<slggsgz>dshot:: greatest sport ever ;)
[22:41]<msxjv>skelleton: I think the language barrier might get the best of us on this one
[22:41]<scgffgvjg><dshot> yes,i wanna make subnet =(
[22:42]<msxjv>ok, what are you trying to subnet?
[22:42]<slggsgz>dshot:: we have tournaments at the courses around here about every weekend and random doubles tournaments about 1 or 2 times durring the week at night.
[22:42]<msxjv>start spitting out something we can work with
[22:42]<msxjv>what's the gist of disc golf.... weighted discs or frisbee type stuff into what.. like a basket?
[22:42]<msxjv>I could google it
[22:42]<vz2ufzzzsz>heh
[22:43]<vz2ufzzzsz>disc golf is fun.
[22:43]<slggsgz>dshot:: discgolftv.com has videos
[22:43]<msxjv>coo
[22:43]<msxjv>I'll check it out
[22:43]<slggsgz>pdga.com is the official site.
[22:44]<slggsgz>discfly.com has discs so you can get an idea of what to throw and the characteristics of each.
[22:44]<msxjv>oh damn , this looks dope
[22:45]<msxjv>going to play some when the weather gets nicer
[22:45]<slggsgz>;)
[22:45]<slggsgz>i'm gonna go play right now
[22:45]<sazdn>its been god damned raining here for a week again

[22:46]<-- dvxn|syzzzyus xzs>http://www.bagdadsoftware.de")
[22:48]<[mzvzyw]>who do you guys buy Cisco gear from? Any good web retailers?
[22:49]<sazdn>ebay
[22:49]<sazdn>anyone that doesnt sell as-is
[22:49]<sazdn>as-is = broken
[22:50]<gndyvx>i sell all mystuff as-is
[22:50]<[mzvzyw]>how about new cisco stuff? <.<
[22:51]<sazdn>ebay
[22:51]<sazdn>heh, not CDW i'll tell you that
[22:51]<vz2ufzzzsz>LOL
[22:52]<msxjv>CDW, hate that company, no lie
[22:52]<sazdn>i dont know who in thier right mind would buy from them
[22:52]<msxjv>just got the lowdown on disc golf from coworkers who know all the courses around here
[22:52]<msxjv>I can tell you who
[22:52]<msxjv>A VP of Technology whose brother is a sales manager at CDW
[22:52]<msxjv>hated that shit
[22:53]<msxjv>that was a few companies ago though
[22:53]<msxjv>now I just see a call from Colorado or wherever, straight to voicemail
[22:53]<sazdn>hah
[22:53]<j2rgvr_>disc golf rocks
[22:54]<j2rgvr_>I used to play a lot while in college.
[22:54]<j2rgvr_>and still pay several times a year now
[22:54]<sazdn>i play real golf
[22:54]<j2rgvr_>I do that too, but disc golf is free :)
[22:54]<j2rgvr_>(and a lot less frustrating)
[22:55]<msxjv>I haven't played much real golf
[22:55]<msxjv>I like it, but I'm uneducated
[22:55]<sazdn>454$ per year for smartnet on a 2811
[22:55]<sazdn>i wonder what % of revenue smartnet is for cisco
[22:55]<j2rgvr_>Also, I'm pretty bummed... I registered for Networkers today and the CCIE R&S tech tutorial was full (had 4 openings earlier this week)
[22:55]<gndyvx>as a cisco reseller
[22:55]<msxjv>that sucks
[22:55]<gndyvx>we made a boat load on smartnet contracts
[22:56]<j2rgvr_>So I'm going to have to harrass my Cisco rep to see if he can still get me in.
[22:56]<msxjv>A lot of companies have to have maintenance for contractual and standardization reasons
[22:56]<msxjv>other than it's just a good idea
[22:56]<msxjv>24x7x4 on all production-level equipment and spares
[22:57]<msxjv>I remember a lot of business deals going down that required one side or the other proving they had that level of support
[22:57]<j2rgvr_>We do NBD + spares
[22:58]<[mzvzyw]>We do absolutely nothing.
[22:58]<j2rgvr_>In just one year of doing NBD instead of 4 hours, we were able to buy most of the spares we needed.
[22:58]<[mzvzyw]>My company sucks.
[22:58]<[mzvzyw]>NO spares.
[22:58]<[mzvzyw]>NO support.
[22:58]<sazdn>jesus
[22:58]<msxjv>we did 4 hours most of the time, because that was about 30 - 45 minutes usually in the Bay
[22:58]<sazdn>do you do any wireless?
[22:58]<[mzvzyw]>nope
[22:58]<sazdn>you are lucky
[22:58]<msxjv>Sun support, Cisco, Extreme.. all of them could get me new parts within 45 minutes
[22:59]<sazdn>with wireless, you HAVE to have spares
[22:59]<[mzvzyw]>Yup.
[22:59]<sazdn>if you dont, yer fooked cause they get fried all the time
[22:59]<msxjv>lol yeah
[22:59]<msxjv>I always have a shit ton of SFP/GBIC spares
[22:59]<[mzvzyw]>Anyway, after thinking about my redundancy situation, I'm gonna go up to the 20th floor and jump out a window now. See you guys later.
[22:59]<sazdn>SUN support was pretty good when I was at another company
[23:00]<msxjv>expensive as hell
[23:00]<j2rgvr_>dshot: I've never a SFP/GBIC fail yet
[23:00]<msxjv>but yeah, it was good to have
[23:00]<j2rgvr_>and only one AP so far and we have 30+ in production for over 3 years.
[23:00]<sazdn>this was during the SUN ultra 2 days
[23:00]<dzzc1lyvn>[Matrix] there is hope
[23:00]<dzzc1lyvn>hold on/..
[23:00]<sazdn>obanta: weved RMA'ed prolly 8 of our 40 or so cisco radios
[23:00]<gndyvx>obanta_: i've had DOA SFP's
[23:00]<msxjv>yep, same
[23:01]<msxjv>had power-related issues that fried GBICs
[23:01]<msxjv>why tempt fate, basically
[23:01]<sazdn>what is SFP short for
[23:02]<sazdn>i know what they are but never put the letters together
[23:02]<j2rgvr_>Short form factor plugin or something?
