[19:34]<2zypo>for exmaple in XMLDefault.cnf.xml you have <processNodeName>with call manager's IP address is the <???> for firmware ?
[19:36]<2zypo>obanta_: any ideas ?
[19:42]<j2rgvr_>cmterm_7920.4.0-03-00.bin is v3 according to Cisco
[19:42]<j2rgvr_>and the latest I have
[19:43]<j2rgvr_>and my os7920.txt just has 'cmterm_7920.4.0-03-00' without the single quotes
[19:48]<sazdn>hostname CISCO7
[19:48]<sazdn>!
[19:48]<sazdn>boot system tftp c3640-jk9o3s-mz.124-8.bin 10.173.0.3
[19:48]<sazdn>yet when i reload it loads the flash: ios, then it doesnt even try to netboot
[19:49]<dzzc1lyvn>hmm
[19:49]<dzzc1lyvn>funny
[19:49]<sazdn>uncompresses the flash: ios, it looks like it tries to boot yet says nothing
[19:49]<sazdn>then just goes and loads the flash: one again
[19:49]<sazdn>Sending 5, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 10.173.0.3, timeout is 2 seconds:
[19:49]<sazdn>!!!!!
[19:49]<sazdn>Success rate is 100 percent (5/5), round-trip min/avg/max = 1/4/8 m
[19:52]<sazdn>problem is i got 8mb of flash and want to run a 28 mb flash image heh
[19:52]<dzzc1lyvn>I don't think it would work..
[19:53]<dzzc1lyvn>I think I had that problem already
[19:53]<sazdn>of course it does
[19:53]<sazdn>ive done it before
[19:53]<sazdn>ive got enough ram
[19:53]<dzzc1lyvn>how much?
[19:53]<sazdn>128
[19:53]<fjzvxnz>i used to do that
[19:54]<fjzvxnz>i netbooted a 2620 with an 18 meg image
[19:54]<fjzvxnz>2620 can only take 16MB FLASH
[19:54]<sazdn>Using 3 percent iomem. [4Mb/128Mb]
[19:54]<sazdn>program load complete, entry point: 0x80008000, size: 0x64078c
[19:54]<sazdn>Self decompressing the image : #################################################
[19:54]<sazdn>############# [OK]
[19:54]<dzzc1lyvn>I tried with my 2501 and it was not working
[19:54]<fjzvxnz>and it worked just like that:
[19:54]<dzzc1lyvn>ohh o.k
[19:55]<fjzvxnz>boot system tftp cisco/c2600-ik9o3s-mz.122-15.T16.bin 192.168.200.1
[19:55]<sazdn>loather : was the tftp server directly attached?
[19:55]<sazdn>because mine isnt
[19:55]<fjzvxnz>no, it wasn't
[19:56]<fjzvxnz>it was behind another 2600, which was behind a 3550. the 3550 was directly attached.
[19:56]<sazdn>then wtf
[19:56]<sazdn>why wont this beast load
[19:56]<fjzvxnz>the two 2600s were connected together by a single WIC-1DSU-T1 link.
[19:57]<fjzvxnz>However, when I changed the link to MLPPP with two T1 boards in each, it quit netbooting
[19:57]<sazdn>this is ethernet
[19:57]<fjzvxnz>do you have a default route set?
[19:57]<dzzc1lyvn>Scrye:
[19:57]<sazdn>of course i do
[19:58]<dzzc1lyvn>ohh o.k
[19:58]<sazdn>boot system tftp c3640-jk9o3s-mz.124-8.bin 10.173.0.3
[19:58]<sazdn>interface Ethernet0/0
[19:58]<sazdn> ip address 172.20.1.106 255.255.255.248
[19:58]<sazdn>oh wow
[19:58]<sazdn>loather you smrt
[19:58]<dzzc1lyvn>ip default-gateway
[19:58]<sazdn>default route was wrong
[19:58]<dzzc1lyvn>you need it..
[19:58]<fjzvxnz>:)
[19:59]<dzzc1lyvn>loather you stole my thoughts
[20:01]<sazdn>just got in a 3550
[20:01]<sazdn>and to my surprise, they shipped the gbics with it
[20:02]<fjzvxnz>yeah, i think they come with two WS-G5483
[20:02]<fjzvxnz>mine did, anyways
[20:03]<2zypo>obanta_: yes that is the same cmterm I have (thought 4.0 but that't not the pt) My os7920.txt is the same but how did /do you get your 7920 to look for the os7920.txt file ?
[20:03]<gndyvx>7920 won't do sip
[20:04]<2zypo>nemith: I would be in heaven if is did
[20:04]<2zypo>is -> it
[20:05]<j2rgvr_>brif8: I ran a quick tftp trace and booted up a 7920, it looks for a SEP<MAC>.cnf.xml and then the XMLDefaults.cnf.xml and then a couple of other config files, but never os7920.txt
[20:05]<2zypo>same with me
[20:05]<j2rgvr_>So I'm guessing the SEP<MAC>.cnf.xml is created on the fly (since it doesn't seem to exist on the fs) and has the firmware it should load in that file.
[20:06]<j2rgvr_>Pure speculation since I use CCM and it just does it automatically and I've never had to troubleshoot firmware loading problems.
[20:06]<sazdn>i only got 1 gbic
[20:06]<2zypo>no I have a static SEP<mac>.cnf.xml file and it has nothing about firmware in it
[20:06]<2zypo>and I don't use CCM
[20:07]<j2rgvr_>I figured that since you're having problems upgrading the firmware :)
[20:08]<j2rgvr_>But it has to know what firmware to load from somewhere, and it has to come from one of the files it's downloading when it boots up
[20:09]<2zypo>The very first time I switched the phone on is looked for the OS7920.TXT file and upload the out of date cmterm I had then. since I have gotten the latest cmterm file and it now doesn't look for OS7920.txt anymore
[20:12]<j2rgvr_>http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/SCCP-HOWTO2, looks like you don't need/want a SEP<MAC>.cnf.xml file for the 7920 according to this page.
[20:15]<lnfyln_>i have the following topòlogy
[20:15]<2zdsnpzz>loather: There?
[20:15]<lnfyln_>[192.168.0.0/24]--[linux NAT/gw 192.168.0.1]-{cisco 2600}-HDSL-{cisco 805}-[192.168.20.0/24]
[20:15]<lnfyln_>both networks can reach by themselves, but the problem is, i need the 192.168.20.0 go though the linux nat 192.168.0.1 in order to use transparent proxy with squid
[20:15]<fjzvxnz>bamsefar: yes
[20:15]<lnfyln_>and i already have the rule on linux nat, to MAsQUERADE both networks
[20:15]<2zdsnpzz>Did you check the shipping?
[20:16]<fjzvxnz>on the monitor?
[20:16]<fjzvxnz>to where?
[20:16]<2zdsnpzz>Or was it someone else that had the netras?
[20:17]<fjzvxnz>no, i have the netras
[20:17]<lnfyln_>iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -s 192.168.0.0/24 -o eth0 (connected to the router) -j MASQUERADE and iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -s 192.168.20.0/24 -o eth0 (connected to the router) -j MASQUERADE
[20:17]<fjzvxnz>to sweden ... let me check
[20:17]<2zdsnpzz>Yeah
[20:17]<fjzvxnz>postal code?
[20:18]<sazdn>how do you tell if a 3550 is running an EMI image or not
[20:18]<sazdn>Running Layer2/3 Switching Image
[20:18]<sazdn>i guess that does heh
[20:19]<2zdsnpzz>loather: 414 83
[20:20]<fjzvxnz>Scrye: it says in the sh ver output, in the hardware spec section
[20:20]<sazdn>hardware spec says SMI
[20:20]<sazdn>but its flashed with EMI
