[18:23]<bsdrgdjg>you replace the u with a w
[18:23]<bsdrgdjg>"what are you talking abowwwwt?"
[18:23]<bsdrgdjg>YOUR accent is fucking hillarious to me.
[18:23]<2aww7>works alot better when you remove the no ip routing from the config
[18:24]<bsdrgdjg>because it basically contradicts all the rules of English pronouncation
[18:24]<vd2r>at least we can laugh at each other.
[18:24]<bsdrgdjg>if thats a word
[18:24]<vd2r>english contradicts the rules of english. it's a mish-mash of a language.
[18:24]<bsdrgdjg>true
[18:25]<bsdrgdjg>but if you pull out an English dictionary, and look up how to prounouce "about", its a whole lot closer to "aboot" then it is to "abowt"
[18:25]<bsdrgdjg>the funny part is
[18:25]<vd2r>bc: dude one time a L3 switch I was on didn't have "ip routing" in the config, so I put it in there to see if it fixed stuff. didn't, so I took it back out. turns out ip routing is a hidden default, and I disabled routing on the thing and broke everything.
[18:26]<bsdrgdjg>you can prounouce "bout" properly, but not "about"
[18:27]<vd2r>http://www.m-w.com/cgi-bin/dictionary?va=about <-- she says it the american way.
[18:28]<gndyvx>boot?
[18:28]<gndyvx>is it ouch or is it ooch?
[18:29]<bsdrgdjg>according to the people i work with, i say "ooch"
[18:29]<gndyvx>heh
[18:29]<bsdrgdjg>whereas to me, they say it like "owwwch"
[18:30]<bsdrgdjg>anything that is supposed to be "ou" sounds more like "owww" to me, and i sound like "oo" to the
[18:30]<bsdrgdjg>m
[18:31]<sazdn>what you talking aboot
[18:32]<bsdrgdjg>hah
[18:32]<bsdrgdjg>take off, ya hoser
[18:32]<bsdrgdjg>ah bob and doug
[18:32]<bsdrgdjg>theyre so awesome
[18:32]<bsdrgdjg>canadians making fun of how americans make fun of canadians.
[18:35]<amjr->sounds boring
[18:37]<bsdrgdjg>no its funny
[18:37]<bsdrgdjg>they say aboot
[18:37]<bsdrgdjg>and hoser
[18:37]<bsdrgdjg>and take off
[18:37]<bsdrgdjg>and they drink beer, watch hockey, and cook back bacon
[18:37]<bsdrgdjg>they overemphasize it so much that its just hillarious
[18:38]<amjr->uhm yeah, even more boring
[18:38]<bsdrgdjg>"on the first day of christmas my true love gave to me... beer."
[18:39]<bsdrgdjg>6 packs o smoke, 5 golden toques, 4 pounds of back bacon, 3 french toasts, and a beer
[18:40]<gndyvx>on a a tree

[18:41]<bsdrgdjg>i have that album on vinyl
[18:41]<rfv>rush isn't that bad
[18:41]<rfv>when compared to Nelly Furtado
[18:41]<bsdrgdjg>true dat
[18:41]<rfv>of course, _I'm_ not that bad when compared to Nelly Furtado
[18:42]<bsdrgdjg>the tea party are the best canadian band though
[18:42]<bsdrgdjg>too bad they split up last fall.
[18:42]<sazdn>alt: unless you are a chick, id rather take nelly potato anyday
[18:42]<bsdrgdjg>ah well. for any band to go 15 years these days is pretty amazing
[18:42]<zzwffzdnz>window 22
[18:42]<sazdn>and youd stillhave to be a hot ethnic chick
[18:42]<rfv>Def Leppard!
[18:43]<rfv>they've been around for 20! at least!
[18:43]<bsdrgdjg>haha
[18:43]<bsdrgdjg>they suck too
[18:43]<rfv>:(
[18:43]<rfv>I like Def Leppard
[18:43]<bsdrgdjg>though in their day when that crap was popular i guess they were ok
[18:43]<bsdrgdjg>they were good for their style... put it that way
[18:43]<rfv>they still are :)
[18:44]<bsdrgdjg>i just personally cant stand the hair-pop
[18:44]<rfv>ah
[18:44]<rfv>they're the only "hair pop" that I listen to.
[18:44]<bsdrgdjg>old metallica, however.

[18:45]<rfv>damn... I wish this virus scan would finish. I have to get to work
[18:45]<rfv>why couldn't it have done this at 3am
[18:45]<rfv>?
[18:46]<rfv>instead of now.
[18:46]<vcul>because sleep is important
[18:46]<rfv>finally
[18:46]<rfv>done
[18:46]<rfv>well, I'll talk to you all later.
[18:49]<vd2r>our new fluke is pretty sweet. fluke taught it to speak cisco-ese. gives all the cdp information, what switchport, what vlan that switchport is on, etc. I like this thing. it's tiny too, and just uses 4 aa's.
[18:50]<gndyvx>i used to have one of those
[18:50]<gndyvx>i pretty much just used it for cable testing
[18:50]<ald>which fluke is that?
[18:50]<vd2r>http://www.flukenetworks.com/us/LAN/Handheld+Testers/NetTool/Overview.htm
[18:51]<ald>nice
[18:52]<bsdrgdjg>is it good, tmbg?
[18:52]<zzwffzdnz>and it prolly costs a fortune
[18:53]<vd2r>it's expensive but not as bad for the functionality as the one touch series II that we have.
[18:53]<ald>is this the same box?
[18:53]<ald>http://cgi.ebay.com/Fluke-Fluke-Networks-NetTool-Standard-NT-OB_W0QQitemZ7625199296QQihZ017QQcategoryZ97139QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
