[19:13]<vmjgrxun-frlvjl>thats ok, BSDaemon I feel the same way about IANA....
[19:13]<trff-rud>can someone confirm something for me....I've just finally got a site to site vpn working between PIX and an IOS router... On the pix, VPN traffic bypasses ACL's on the outside interface, but that doesn't appear to be true on an IOS router...is that correct?
[19:13]<vmjgrxun-frlvjl>they are free to think of me as they please
[19:25]<trff-rud>anyone...beuler???

[20:30]<drvxyrsc>hmmm damn, can't find where to downlaod the cvdm on cisco.com
[20:34]<slggsgz>mathiask:: you have to be kidding?
[20:34]<slggsgz>mathiask:: i did one serch on cisco's site and found it
[20:36]<drvxyrsc>spenser: yes I was just kidding

[21:01]<bsdrgdjg>pros/cons from moving from openbsd/pf to a pix
[21:01]<vz2ufzzzsz>what do i look like, consumer reports?
[21:01]<bsdrgdjg>yes.
[21:01]<slggsgz>not even the same league.
[21:01]<vz2ufzzzsz>;)
[21:02]<bsdrgdjg>spenser: ?
[21:02]<slggsgz>BSDaemon:: go to cisco's website and learn about the pix
[21:02]<slggsgz>it's like saying a bicycle and a ferarri are the same because they are both modes of trasportation.
[21:02]<bsdrgdjg>you like da pix more?
[21:02]<sazdn>the difference isnt that much more cmon
[21:03]<sazdn>if it does what you need it to do then its fine
[21:03]<slggsgz>I would never use a BSD box for a firewall in an enterprise.
[21:03]<fjzvxnz>pix is a nice, small, integrated 1u solution
[21:03]<slggsgz>not all pix's are 1u
[21:03]<bsdrgdjg>I think the biggest advantage of pix over bsd, is the support.
[21:04]<fjzvxnz>right, the 525/535 are bigger
[21:04]<fjzvxnz>and of course the ancient behemoths
[21:04]<fjzvxnz>but we'll forget those ever existed.
[21:04]<bsdrgdjg>501!
[21:04]<bsdrgdjg>MASSIVE
[21:04]<slggsgz>i use a 501 at the house.
