[08:10]<sdac2jd>I was having issues connecging
[08:10]<sdac2jd>connecting
[08:13]<sdac2jd>But I got it up
[08:14]<[mzvzyw_]>got a link?
[08:19]<[mzvzyw_]>nvm, found it
[08:22]<[mzvzyw_]>umm, it's like s0/0 and s0/1 connect to each other.
[08:22]<sdac2jd>Isnt s0.0 and s0/1 the TX and RX?
[08:23]<[mzvzyw_]>the TX and RX are just 1 physical interface
[08:24]<sdac2jd>OK
[08:24]<sdac2jd>so I have a this on my FOC Paperwork
[08:24]<sdac2jd>Wan:
[08:24]<sdac2jd>Customer Wan Blog 66.239.236.72/30
[08:24]<sdac2jd>Customer Side 66.239.236.74
[08:24]<sdac2jd>Network Side .73
[08:25]<sdac2jd>Subnet Mask .252
[08:25]<[mzvzyw_]>Ok, so your serial should just be 66.239.236.73 subnet 255.255.255.252
[08:25]<[mzvzyw_]>their router has the .74 address
[08:25]<[mzvzyw_]>which is probably what is confusing your router, because you set up another serial interface with .74
[08:26]<sdac2jd>And then My Fast Eithernet RJ45 on the bottom plane is going to me the start of myLan?
[08:26]<[mzvzyw_]>yp
[08:26]<[mzvzyw_]>err, yep
[08:27]<[mzvzyw_]>I hate this laptop's keyboard. So worn out. ;;
[08:27]<sdac2jd>MNatrix
[08:27]<sdac2jd>if you ever find yourselve in North Idaho
[08:27]<sdac2jd>I owe you beer
[08:27]<[mzvzyw_]>lol
[08:27]<sdac2jd>LOTS AND LOTS OF BEER
[08:27]<[mzvzyw_]>did you try it out?
[08:27]<sdac2jd>no - not yet
[08:28]<sdac2jd>I am too lazy to run over to my NOC (3 Blocks away)
[08:28]<[mzvzyw_]>ahh
[08:28]<sdac2jd>I will do it in the morning though
[08:28]<sdac2jd>(Which is why it took me 23 minutes the first time)
[08:28]<sdac2jd>is there anything else that stands out?
[08:28]<[mzvzyw_]>but most likely, S0/1 just needs to have it's address removed and be shutdown, probably doesn't go anywhere
[08:29]<sdac2jd>no it doesnt
[08:29]<[mzvzyw_]>umm, also, change your passwords since you pastebin'd them and they can be unencrypted
[08:29]<sdac2jd>yea I am trying to figure some new ones out
[08:29]<[mzvzyw_]>:-p
[08:29]<fjzvxnz>there are .cat domains now
[08:30]<[mzvzyw_]>haha
[08:30]<fjzvxnz>between 65 and 75 euros per year
[08:30]<[mzvzyw_]>I want www.meow.cat
[08:30]<fjzvxnz>i was going to register damned.cat, but that's really expensive
[08:30]<[mzvzyw_]>lmao
[08:30]<sxrmns>haha
[08:30]<sxrmns>still reeking?
[08:31]<fjzvxnz>no
[08:31]<fjzvxnz>scroll back :)
[08:31]<sazdn>i mentioned the .cat domains earlier
[08:32]<fjzvxnz>oh, did you?
[08:32]<sxrmns>hahaha
[08:33]<sxrmns>http://www.woot.com/default.aspx
[08:33]<sdac2jd>you should do doggy.cat
[08:33]<sxrmns>sweet deal.
[08:33]<[mzvzyw_]>jeesh, got a router in Houston that's blowing 1 error for every 3 packets, heh
[08:34]<sxrmns>doggystyled.cat
[08:34]<[mzvzyw_]>talk about a shitty T1
[08:34]<fjzvxnz>that's kinda cool
[08:34]<sxrmns>no dude, it's taken
[08:34]<sxrmns>every day they woot a new item
[08:35]<sdac2jd>DOes anyone have an idea for a decently priced Bandwidth Shaping Tool?
[08:35]<sxrmns>and it woots at midnight central every day. Sometimes it's phat ram, sometimes it's completely non computer related
[08:36]<sdac2jd>well being canadian you should buy woot.ca
[08:37]<[mzvzyw_]>lol
[08:37]<[mzvzyw_]>you can do bandwidth shaping on the 7206VXR
[08:38]<[mzvzyw_]>or most Cisco routers for that matter
[08:38]<sdac2jd>oh??
[08:39]<fjzvxnz>'cause it's kansas?
[08:39]<sdac2jd>could it be because you are in a server room
[08:39]<[mzvzyw_]>http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/iosswrel/ps1835/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a00800bd8ef.html
[08:40]<sxrmns>there is nothing to do there.
[08:40]<sxrmns>except bored kasans women & natures fruits ;)
[08:41]<[mzvzyw_]>Anyway, it is WAY past my bedtime. See you guys in the morning.
[08:41]<sdac2jd>Matrix
[08:41]<sdac2jd>Thanks for your help and I will let you know how it worked
[08:41]<[mzvzyw_]>np. :-p I'll be here in the morning if ya need me.
[08:42]<[mzvzyw_]>later noobs
[08:42]<[mzvzyw_]>;)
[08:43]<-- vrfyggas xrs fuyv>/sys/power/state")
[09:29]<-- sgvgzs xzs fuyv (>/dev/brain")
[09:30]<cjzyrn>Hi Cisco people, i'm running OSPF and i want to enable encryption, how do i do that?
[09:31]<fjsvnf>koriaN: encryption or ospf MD5 auth?
[09:32]<cjzyrn>i dont know what is called, for the messages.
[09:34]<sxrmns>http://pastebin.com/766769
[09:34]<fjsvnf>koriaN: Thats MD5 authentication, not encryption. put "ip ospf message-digest 1 md5 your_password" under the interface and "area your_area_number authentication message-digest" under the ospf process.
[09:35]<fjsvnf>koriaN: You need to enabl ospf auth on the other routers in the area as well.
[09:37]<sxrmns>any ideas?
[09:37]<sxrmns>http://pastebin.com/766769
[09:37]<sxrmns>i can't ssh into that box
[09:37]<sxrmns>but ssh is running
[09:39]<sxrmns>i can paste my running cf
[09:40]<sxrmns>http://pastebin.com/766776
[09:40]<xjarvyaxggay>ShadeS, funny your system is named the same as my authentication protocol
[09:40]<cjzyrn>postel thanks. What do you mean by under the ospf process??
[09:42]<sxrmns>what?
[09:42]<sxrmns>odd
[09:43]<fjsvnf>koriaN: After you put a password on the interface (which is the auth key) type "router ospf your_process_id" and put "area your_area_number authentication message-digest" to enable MD5 auth in the area.
[09:44]<sxrmns>even weirder, 192.168.101.22 can ssh into 192.168.100.2 but .2 can't ssh into .101.22, ssh: connect to host 182.168.101.22 port 22: no route to host
