[00:23]<o2snssnm>depends
[00:23]<szzzxedd>naw, not tonight. i was saying i should be studying, i meant it as an 'in general lately' thing
[00:23]<szzzxedd>i've been up for over 24h now so maybe not the best time to study.. yay for shiftwork.
[00:23]<szzzxedd>sarahemm@sarahemm.net
[00:23]<vd2r>24hr? ouch. I don't miss shift work.

[00:24]<o2snssnm>must be frustrating living next to the country that invades other countries as a hobby
[00:25]<szzzxedd>FBH^^: ?
[00:25]<vd2r>shift work, the phrase "get out" etc.
[00:25]<szzzxedd>tmbg: i work for a hosting/managed services company
[00:25]<szzzxedd>'get out' as in 'find something else and escape working 8-day-rotating-shifts'
[00:25]<o2snssnm>I'm sure you can find something to avoid that FBH^^ ? :)
[00:25]<vd2r>Obsessed, #politics is THAT way.
[00:25]<o2snssnm>jk
[00:26]<vd2r>fbh: yeah I can't use road runner's mail which I still have a valid account on through my phone connection
[00:26]<vd2r>pastebin.ca
[00:26]<o2snssnm>what about a dcc send

[01:14]<vcul>damn i have this 804 that accepts the command router ospf 1 but would not give me the router prompt
[01:14]<vcul>i get no error or warning
[01:17]<vcul>i just had eigrp running on it a few minutes ago just fine
[01:20]<sgzrnndlr>maybe cuz it doesn't do ospf?
[01:24]<vcul>SGraNNyLA, well it can do eigrp. I tried bgp and it expectedly errored out: "protocol not in this image". Why wouldn't it say that with ospf instead of silently putting me back in the prompt?
[03:24]<dzzc1lyvn>hey nemith
[03:24]<gndyvx>hey
[03:24]<dzzc1lyvn>What's the point of BGP route if synchroniszation is on
[03:24]<vcul>already?
[03:25]<gndyvx>to ensure that a rotuer doesn't annouce a prefix to an eBGP neighbor without having a route to it
[03:26]<dzzc1lyvn>ohh o.k
[03:26]<gndyvx>i don't know of anyone who uses today
[03:27]<dzzc1lyvn>what..synchroniszation?
[03:27]<gndyvx>yeah
[03:28]<dzzc1lyvn>but it's important to have to so that routes can be converged?
[03:29]<gndyvx>no
[03:29]<dzzc1lyvn>but that's the default?
[03:29]<gndyvx>yes it is
[03:29]<dzzc1lyvn>o.k cool
[03:30]<dzzc1lyvn>I need to finish reading this document tonight..
[03:30]<dzzc1lyvn>get bpg inside my mind
[03:30]<dzzc1lyvn>bbl
[03:30]<gndyvx>i belive the most used practice is to run BGP on the transit routers
[03:30]<gndyvx>iBGP that is,
[03:31]<dzzc1lyvn>ohh o.k
[03:33]<gzmgbzzgm>I've got two routers outside here (home) and I just play with rip.
[03:33]<gzmgbzzgm>only reason I use it is for play
[03:33]<dzzc1lyvn>hmm
[03:33]<dzzc1lyvn>give me access to play too..
[03:33]<gzmgbzzgm>no thanks
[03:33]<dzzc1lyvn>hey nemith did you get to login at the site?
[03:34]<dzzc1lyvn>so why talk about it..
[03:34]<dzzc1lyvn>keep quie.t.
[03:36]<gndyvx>login to what site about what now?
[04:25]<gjsw>Hey guys, quick question. Im looking for a recomended model capable of handling ~200mbps (using gigabit interfaces).
[04:26]<fzrwr>budget?
[04:28]<gjsw>heh, not a 7200
[04:28]<gjsw>its not doing anything complicated or CPU intensive, so im trying to stay away from those blade models.
[04:29]<gjsw>at this point its about switching speed with the ability to advertise a /22. Its only going to really have 1 route.
[04:32]<vd2r>just needs to switch? I dunno. 3508
