[02:27]<pnvs>3748 prolly for gigabit
[02:28]<pnvs>Cisco Catalyst 3750G-48TS
[02:28]<cuzyjscrv>cheap 48-port cisco gig switch?
[02:28]<cuzyjscrv>funny guy!
[02:28]<dzzc1lyvn>CuriosCat: are you taking that offer?
[02:28]<cuzyjscrv>dark: Yes.
[02:29]<29cr>cheap as in, cheap for cisco prices.
[02:30]<dzzc1lyvn>cool.
[02:31]<cuzyjscrv>I hate tftp.
[02:31]<cuzyjscrv>"error: timed out"
[02:31]<cuzyjscrv>blah
[02:31]<cuzyjscrv>it has a 1ms-latency direct connection
[02:31]<cuzyjscrv>and it times out
[02:31]<cuzyjscrv>that's so blah.
[02:33]<fjsvnf>CuriosCat: use atftp, most linux distros carry a package.
[02:34]<fjsvnf>atftpd, atftp is the client for it.
[02:35]<29cr>wtf is this stackwise crap?
[02:37]<dzzc1lyvn>CuriosCat: what you do currently hold?
[02:39]<pyzgdgdjg>you can get a dell 24 gigabit dell switches
[02:39]<pyzgdgdjg>24 gig ports :)
[02:44]<cuzyjscrv>dark3lite: Just CCNA
[02:44]<dzzc1lyvn>oh ho.k
[02:46]<slggsgz>you have to start somewhere.
[02:47]<azjmsmjg>selinux has issues with tftp on my box
[02:47]<azjmsmjg>I just always 'setenforce 0' to kill selinux when I need to tftp
[02:48]<azjmsmjg>of course, you have to open up iptables to allow access to it as well: -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state --state NEW -m udp -p udp --dport 69 -j ACCEPT
[02:49]<rfv>jroysdon: you can disable selinux for the tftp process I think
[02:49]<rfv>fedora has tools for that.
[02:49]<rfv>I had to do it for dhcpcd on my FC5 box (couldn't get an IP Address )
[02:49]<azjmsmjg>one of these days I should learn... I just kill it temp and turn it back on
[02:49]<rfv>are you running FC?
[02:49]<rfv>there's a GUI tool for that
[02:49]<azjmsmjg>FC5, yes.
[02:50]<azjmsmjg>I have no problems with dhcp as a client or a server with FC5 and SELinux
[02:50]<azjmsmjg>(who knows, maybe it had a problem early on, but I upgraded my boxes from fc4 to fc5 the day it came out)
[04:18]<scuzvyw>Hey
[04:19]<scuzvyw>I just got my cisco 851, but I have no order number so I can't become a registered customer at cisco.com (only guest customer-level) so I can't get the cisco vpn client for macosx. Would it be asking much for someone to send it to me?
[04:21]<zzdgs2zygc> hmmm
[04:22]<scuzvyw>Weird that the mac vpn client isn't on the cd..
[04:28]<scuzvyw>nevermind, found it
[06:37]<fzrwr>is there anyway to boot a 7500 via tftp from the bootloader?
[06:47]<azjmsmjg>ya can always try... have boot system tftp://1.1.1.1/file and then on the next line boot system flash:filename
[06:47]<azjmsmjg>(it'll try the tftp first, then the flash)
[06:53]<bsdrgdjg>sup?
[06:53]<srd-i-rd>get any?
[06:54]<bsdrgdjg>none of your business :P
[06:54]<bsdrgdjg>google says pitt to wichita is 4 hrs
[06:54]<bsdrgdjg>i did it in 2.5
[06:54]<cuzyjscrv>sup-720!
[06:55]<bsdrgdjg>Then again, I went pitt to KC in under 2 hrs
[06:55]<bsdrgdjg>100 in a 70 zone... sounds right to me.
[06:57]<gzrnnd->anyone know of any TL1 to SNMP translators?
[07:15]<fzrwr>jroysdon: this thing has no flash
[07:15]<fzrwr>heh
[07:15]<fzrwr>it only has bootflash
[07:15]<fzrwr>which is apparently 16mb
[07:15]<fzrwr>so it has a 4mb bootloader on it now
[07:15]<fzrwr>gonna put an 8mb ios on it
[07:16]<fzrwr>then boot the real ios via tftp
[08:15]<dydyc>how to make an interface act like dhcp client
[08:18]<kz0gvr2>evenin
[08:22]<dydyc>how to make an interface act like dhcp client

[10:30]<ljwnzw>Hey all, on the one side of my WAN link I have the internet gateway 192.168.0.133 which is a linux firewall, If I set the gateway of last resort to "192.168.0.133" on both cisco routers the one on the same side can ping ip on the internet but the cisco router on the other side cannot, even tho it can ping the linux firewall...any ideas?
[10:48]<zzwffzdnz>how does the nat rules look like on the linux firewall?
[10:51]<ljwnzw>Rawplayer, the nat rules are set to that all traffic for network 10.10.1.0/24 goes to the ethernet address of the router which is "192.168.0.140"
[10:57]<ljwnzw>Rawplayer, not to worry, figured it out.
[12:06]<-- svgvsdyzgjvr xrs>/dev/null")
[12:31]<szz2fjvnz>Can I define COS on my AP so my guest users don't use up all my bandwidth ?
[12:31]<szz2fjvnz>QOS I mean
[12:42]<waqq0>saablover: Yes, I think it sould be possible if you use vlan.
[12:42]<szz2fjvnz>I do use vlans
[12:42]<szz2fjvnz>two one for the guest users, one for the production users
[12:43]<waqq0>saablover: then you should be able to set QOS on the guest vlan right ?
[12:43]<szz2fjvnz>that is my question :)
[12:44]<waqq0>Havent used much QOS with Cisco, but couldn't be that hard right.
[12:45]<waqq0>config wlan qos wlan-id {bronze | silver | gold | platinum}
[12:45]<szz2fjvnz>hehe
[12:46]<waqq0>tried that one ? ;)
[13:09]<cedlvje>Hi all

[15:46]<cedlvje>HI
[15:48]<fnffj>HELLO

[15:51]<cedlvje>and they send me a windows client, and group name, username and password
[15:51]<cedlvje>but i am using linux, and i downloaded vpnc. It asks me ipsec ID and ipsec passwd .. is it the same as the username and password ?
[15:52]<cedlvje>but after that it again asks for username and password. How do i get the ipsec ID and passwd ?
