[22:48]<vj2nxe>requiem for a dream
[22:48]<vj2nxe>is crazy
[22:48]<gjrvcxnne>i was about to go through all of my .net code (millions of lines) with a comb to ensure that my strings operations weren't relying upon the fact that whitespace is kept, and length counts more than one whitespace as characters..... which is a valid assumption we all now know lol
[22:49]<nrrxxrfn>staz[work]: wait, so that will strip html?
[22:49]<gjrvcxnne>yeha, crazy movie...
[22:49]<svzz[wjzc]>zachhale that will get the text that is not between a < and a > so it will get the plain text, ignoring the html
[22:50]<nrrxxrfn>hmm
[22:51]<nrrxxrfn>i want to be able to get the html out of the database afterwards too
[22:51]<nrrxxrfn>:S
[22:51]<svzz[wjzc]>huh...
[22:51]<svzz[wjzc]>i think i don't understand what you mean by "striping here"
[22:52]<svzz[wjzc]>do you want -> <p>This is a <span>text</span></p> to appear as -> This is a text
[22:52]<svzz[wjzc]>caus THAT is what my function does, removes the html tags
[22:53]<nrrxxrfn>yeah
[22:53]<nrrxxrfn>i'm sorry
[23:10]<pzrrnrvqt0wr>i should have logged in online and asked you guys about it.
[23:11]<pzrrnrvqt0wr>i didn't even know the name of the function was called "pad[left|right]"
[23:13]<nvnza>hello. i have question. how can i create such nice windows in c# as in media player 11?
[23:13]<nvnza>or like itunes
[23:14]<zgzzcygnv>wait wait
[23:14]<zgzzcygnv>when does the OSX interface look "nice"?
[23:14]<zgzzcygnv>i thought it looked like a pile of poo
[23:14]<zgzzcygnv>dyed grey
[23:14]<nvnza>for me it does, well i want to "skin" my application
[23:14]<nvnza>tired of "windows xp" look
[23:14]<nvnza>for example look at democracy player
[23:15]<pzrrnrvqt0wr>zverj: recode it in E!
[23:15]<nvnza>Project2501a, E!?
[23:15]<pzrrnrvqt0wr>En
[23:15]<pzrrnrvqt0wr>Enlightenment
[23:15]<pzrrnrvqt0wr>it has skinning built in by default.
[23:15]<nvnza>that's no C#, no winforms
[23:16]<pzrrnrvqt0wr>oh, you want it in winforms...
[23:16]<pzrrnrvqt0wr>ok.
[23:16]<zgzzcygnv>i think WMP11 is using like WinFX
[23:16]<zgzzcygnv>or something
[23:16]<zgzzcygnv>eg the Vista forms stuff
[23:22]<pzrrnrvqt0wr>here's another question. Assume i got a StringBuilder. I'd like to make an dump of the array, to the output in order to see some stuff
[23:22]<pzrrnrvqt0wr>i can't quite get the .Name property for sb[i]. Workaround?
[23:32]<kjr>oh hell
[23:42]<sdnffdxdlld>wb kog
[23:43]<kjr>not cool... I've got a folder that's being wonky
[23:43]<kjr>it keeps giving me access denied
[23:43]<kjr>so I'm running a chkdsk
[23:43]<kjr>my SATAII disk is running chkdsk slower than my IDE disk...
[23:43]<azyfm>NTFS permissions?
[23:43]<sdnffdxdlld>:S
[23:43]<kjr>Arild: it's NTFS
[23:44]<sdnffdxdlld>not good, not good at all
[23:44]<kjr>Arild: looks like I might have a bad sector... dunno
[23:45]<awjzdd>uhh?
[23:46]<kjr>smellyhippy: the great thing is that I ran it /F and told it to run on reboot... it just ignored that
[23:46]<kjr>I rebooted and it's like "Yeah, that's nice"
[23:46]<awjzdd>lol
[23:46]<sdnffdxdlld>lol
[23:49]<kjr>and.... it stalled on 92% check of indices
[23:49]<kjr>fucktastic... looks like my drive has issues
[23:50]<kjr>oh hey... it recovered a broken index. weird
[23:50]<lxlwgnz>is there an existing method or a way to use generics to copy a byte[] into a byte[,]?
[23:51]<kjr>if you're dealing with a fixed type, what good do generics do you?
[23:51]<sdnffdxdlld>phpwner it should be relativly trivial to make a lil method yourselfg
[23:51]<sdnffdxdlld>-g
[23:52]<lxlwgnz>k
[23:52]<lxlwgnz>i wanted to make sure i was doing it most efficiently
[23:52]<lxlwgnz>thx
[23:52]<sdnffdxdlld>just for(int i = 0; i < byteArray.Length; i++;)
[23:52]<sdnffdxdlld>errr ignore the last ; ;)
[23:53]<kjr>smellyhippy: were you trying to wink at phpwner?
[23:53]<sdnffdxdlld>...
[23:53]<sdnffdxdlld>ignore th last ';'
[23:53]<sdnffdxdlld>+e
[23:53]<kjr>smellyhippy: your spelling... she fails
[23:54]<sdnffdxdlld>pft I fail at life in general :P
[23:55]<kjr>oh wow... that was real weird
[23:56]<kjr>so, it unlinked the file but the index got corrupted
[23:56]<kjr>so, I ran chkdsk which fixed the node
[23:59]<kjr>and then the permission error dissapeared because it realized the directory really didn't exist
