[22:06]<egx>Erm. I just booted my computer. It boots the kernel successfully.. but when it tries to mount the root partition it fails. A hour ago everything worked fine. I have not touched anything of this harddisk (I just switched it). What can be wrong? I cannot mount it in busybox/livecd either. fsck fails in busybox. mount generates a ugly message (http://isl33t.net/pastebin?read=57). fsck on the livecd gives a Floating Point.. what's going on.. is everything lost?

[22:12]<drvvdrvvnx>znh, that doesnt look like a HD failure. mine was invalid code on the ide controller and could not read sector xxxxxx. your file system looks funny or maybe missing an option in the kernel ?

[22:16]<bfdrv>Hey, I have a really annoying problem... whenever I try to emerge -vauD world, busybox ALWAYS fails, because it can't find its own config file. Could someone send me theirs or point me towards something? This is really annoying
