And i wouldwant to do get connected when i have booted up from my liveminicd. the descriptions i found on how to install the card was by adding to the kernel. And i cant do that while booted from the live cd, can i? so how should i do to get conneced?

I need a working chroot so that I may recompile my stuff, yet it keeps failing on everything not statically linked with the same error :(

[10:51]<aacn__>nanobanshee, ty man, goona look at em. I was dl knoppix but it takes forever. so i cut it and started dl the livecd (not miimal vs) of gentoo. do you think the livecd. will lack what i need to config the card, and that it is better to get the other once you mentioned?

[10:53]<grgj2rgsxnn>Acke__: gentoo will likely not work. I am not sure which livecd is best, but poke around a bit on google and try to find a good one. I use wired to install gentoo and worry about wifi later. but that might not be possible for you.

[10:58]<mzzcfnss>nanobanshee: ok, I've found the error. I have had several critical library files zero-sized after a recent file-system corruption (the reason why I need to get in there and recompile from scratch)
