[16:42]<rmrmyj>mijenix: I think that if you download the package and universal CD to install gentoo, you can just copy the packages from the CD and use the -k option with emerge to use the binary install

[16:59]<nxnnnnnj>Did something weird just happend with portage? I did an emerge --sync, and now `emerge sys-apps/portage --pretend` says it will install a crapload of N[ew] pacakges, all of which are already installed.
