[23:27]<ggguddggg>chron: without proper nice'ing, a fast CPU will just make the emerge go faster, not make the system more responcive.

[23:29]<awnsjdn-jq000>liquiem, I got xgl going - it was nice but 3d only worked on the xgl stuff, not on any of the apps. When that is better developed I'm going to be extremely happy.

[23:32]<afjakwynn>can anyone help me get my sound working? i have a Audigy 4 (it shows up in lspci as Audigy 2 Value) and i've got alsa built in the kernel and done all the stuff on the gentoo docs, the mixer works, but no sound :|
