[17:34]<lznnvysx>this is what imagemagic says
[17:34]<dnznvx>preetish: I see a lot of strange characters.. hehe
[17:36]<ermmrgr>Jemt - lmao. I forgot the "$" in front of the variable names.
[17:36]<dnznvx>preetish: what kind of filetype do you use?
[17:36]<lznnvysx>jpg
[17:36]<ermmrgr>Progrmaming javascript for a month isn't good for my php programming :-/
[17:36]<dnznvx>jpg doesn't have transparancy
[17:36]<jndv>zaydana: LOL, that's right. Sorry I didn't so that. I have been programming JavaScript the last couple of days :)
[17:36]<jndv>zaydana: Haha, same here :)
[17:36]<ermmrgr>lol :-)
[17:36]<dnznvx>hehe
[17:37]<dnznvx>javascript coding is cool, untill you have an error
[17:37]<dnznvx>which will probably take you all afternoon to track
[17:37]<jndv>;)
[17:37]<lznnvysx>yereth, can u tell me how can i use –white-threshold threshold
[17:37]<ermmrgr>yereth - at which point you get out your arsenal of firefox extensions :-)
[17:37]<dnznvx>preetish: my irc-client doesn't understand your character encoding: @Swhite-threshold threshold
[17:37]<dnznvx>do you have a link?
[17:37]<lznnvysx>oh yereth
[17:38]<lznnvysx>wait
[17:38]<lznnvysx>http://www.imagemagick.org/script/command-line-options.php#white-threshold
[17:38]<lznnvysx>yereth,
[17:38]<dnznvx>preetish: but JPG doesn't have transparancy at all
[17:38]<lznnvysx>i m saving it in png yereth
[17:38]<dnznvx>zaydana: hehe.. I wish I could.. we program for IE here....
[17:38]<wygduvv>ie is crap
[17:38]<ermmrgr>yereth - you'd be suprised how useful the firefox tools are for IE
[17:39]<ermmrgr>use IE to find where your problem is, then find what the problem is with firefox
[17:39]<dnznvx>lol.. preetish: those symbols were suppose to be a dash :) hehe
[17:39]<ermmrgr>its only the real nasty IE-only bugs that are annoying
[17:39]<wygduvv>zaydana: ie has had those tools longer than ff
[17:39]<dnznvx>zaydana: that's what I'm talking about.. hehe..
[17:39]<ermmrgr>winmutt - what tools?
[17:39]<wygduvv>zaydana: js debugger, dom inspector
[17:39]<wygduvv>what else you need?
[17:39]<||aw>IE has a sort of JS console too
[17:40]<ermmrgr>winmutt - I've heard of some mystical debugging tools in IE that you can turn on... but i've never found the option to use them
[17:40]<wygduvv>the js debugger in ie is much better then ff
[17:40]<||aw>you click the error icon...
[17:40]<jndv>||cw: Not very usefull if you ask me
[17:40]<ermmrgr>winmutt - altho, I got the x64 version of IE, so a lot of the settings are different
[17:40]<dnznvx>preetish: you'd use the white-threshold only before the convert -transparancy
[17:40]<||aw>it's usefull enough
[17:40]<wygduvv>zaydana: add/remove software, windows setup
[17:40]<wygduvv>ya prolly not working with ie64
[17:40]<||aw>FF's is certainly a lot more usefull
[17:40]<jndv>||cw: The error messages is close to useless, and the line numbers is always incorrect
[17:40]<jndv>Yea :)
[17:40]<lznnvysx>yereth, that what i want to know should i use it before and then make transparent
[17:40]<wygduvv>||cw: the js debugger in ie > ff
[17:40]<lznnvysx>or after
[17:41]<wygduvv>you can actually step thru the code
[17:41]<wygduvv>set break points
[17:41]<wygduvv>etc etc
[17:41]<lznnvysx>and what should be threshold value
[17:41]<wygduvv>you can also dl it from m$
[17:41]<wygduvv>but it used to be in windows setup
[17:41]<dnznvx>preetish: yes.. so first run the -white-threshold function and view upon the result
[17:42]<ermmrgr>oh well... now I got that figured out its back to watching mobile suit gundun: seed.
[17:42]<dnznvx>if the threshold is set right then everything that you want transparant will be white
[17:42]<lznnvysx>yereth, what should be threshold value
[17:42]<lznnvysx>yereth, how can i take it
[17:42]<dnznvx>... hrmm.. ever played with photoshop
[17:42]<dnznvx>?
[17:43]<lznnvysx>yeh a lil there is tolerance there which i set at times to arnd 32
[17:43]<afun>hi
[17:43]<dnznvx>I think values are often around 2 - 10
[17:43]<dnznvx>it's probably named the <mathematician-name>-distance
[17:43]<dnznvx>or so :)
[17:43]<dnznvx>the distance from one color to another (that's my guess)
[17:43]<lznnvysx>k
[17:44]<dnznvx>try it
[17:44]<dnznvx>you'll find out soon enough
[17:44]<cyzzzg>could I get a roll-call on people's favourite templating engines? I'm partial to TinyButStrong myself but I'm trying to research others
[17:44]<dnznvx>or google on it if you want to know the technical details
[17:44]<grgjvnax>what vars would onclick="return getPosition(event);" return?
[17:45]<dyac_wjzc>if i want to insert data into a mysql field (of the date/time datatype) would the best way be via php's date() or with Mysql's CURDATE() or NOW()
[17:45]<wygduvv>templating is for lameos
[17:45]<wygduvv>use DOM
[17:45]<wygduvv>:)
[17:45]<cyzzzg>do tell
[17:46]<mbnfn>hey all
[17:46]<mbnfn>is there a way to output html content in pdf using php ?
[17:46]<wygduvv>Ciaran: if nothing else its alot easier to move over to xmlHTTPObjects
[17:46]<wygduvv>Ciaran: what would templates offer over just php includes?
[17:46]<wygduvv>no one has ever told me
[17:46]<wygduvv>one useful benefit of using templates
[17:47]<cyzzzg>lol are you serious
[17:47]<wygduvv>yes
[17:47]<wygduvv>tell me one benefit
[17:47]<wygduvv>you cant because there arent any
[17:47]<||aw>MBzle: sure, convert it to pdf
[17:47]<cyzzzg>view/logic seperation for a start?
[17:48]<wygduvv>sorry, you can do that with php includes
[17:48]<dnznvx>preetish: how's it working out for ya?
[17:48]<wygduvv>Ciaran: templates just add unnecessary overhead
[17:48]<||aw>winmutt: one great thing is in maintainance, when you just want to chage the look a bit, you don't have php in your way, and if you want to change a bit of logic, you don't have html in your way
[17:48]<dnznvx>preetish: and if you are using imagemagick for PHP, try magickwand
[17:49]<lznnvysx>yereth, i m not able to use the option i hav imagemagic installed in windows i m passing command line argmuntes which dont seem to b correct
[17:49]<cyzzzg>winmutt: like ||cw said. And that way you can give a template to a designer who doesn't know PHP
