[00:00]<jufyzg|wjzc>Yo Stormchaser.
[00:00]<svjzdzxzsnz>yes, Julian|Work
[00:00]<jufyzg|wjzc>"Hello" would work too.
[00:00]<svjzdzxzsnz>yes, Julian|Work
[00:00]<jufyzg|wjzc>:(
[00:00]<svjzdzxzsnz>:)
[00:00]<jufyzg|wjzc>How's life treating yee?
[00:00]<affy2zn>Hmm. I've downloaded some libraries using PEAR, but I can't seem to get my php install to recognize them
[00:01]<20fv>http://pastebin.com/725371
[00:01]<svjzdzxzsnz>Julian|Work: Bad, as usual... You?
[00:01]<20fv>why does that loop infinitely?
[00:01]<affy2zn>is there something I haveto do after installing them with PEAR?
[00:01]<svjzdzxzsnz>jplibre: Burn the machine :)
[00:01]<affy2zn>Stormchaser: I'm about to :)
[00:01]<svjzdzxzsnz>\o/
[00:02]<vygzdnfdzz>i want my name back :)
[00:03]<rrppygrvnm>i want 1994 back
[00:03]<rrppygrvnm>the moral of the story is you can't always have what you want
[00:03]<vygzdnfdzz>...yeah.. thanks
[00:03]<rrppygrvnm>any time
[00:04]<svjzdzxzsnz>vinadelmar: I want papaya-coconut orange ice cream with a voodoo stick and lemon twist.
[00:04]<grvxn>I want some pizza. pizza would be good
[00:04]<vygzdnfdzz>Stormchaser, same for me.
[00:04]<rrppygrvnm>so buy one
[00:05]<rrppygrvnm>it's not like pizza is hard to get
[00:05]<svjzdzxzsnz>Nah... That's okay, too :)
[00:05]<vygzdnfdzz>wooh caffinated takes this very serioulsy :/
[00:05]<svjzdzxzsnz>caffinated: The pizza places are almost extinct... Didn't you heard?!?
[00:05]<rrppygrvnm>Stormchaser: ah, you've been reading netcraft reports, haven't you?
[00:06]<svjzdzxzsnz>caffinated: *nod* :)
[00:06]<rrppygrvnm>heh
[00:06]<rrppygrvnm>vinadelmar: not really, i just think if you're going to whine about wanting something, make sure it's hard enough to get to warrant the whining ;)
[00:06]<jrw>mh.. ok, what permissions should files have that are uploaded by apache? my docroot is chowned: myUser:myUser and i added apache to myUser group. i have all dirs 750 and files 640. for the upload dir i have the dir 770 owned myUser:myUser. files created are owned by apache:apache. is this all correct?
[00:07]<vygzdnfdzz>caffinated, i think you need a cup of tea. you seems a little be stressed
[00:07]<svjzdzxzsnz>the irony -- I am developing web pages for last 5 years, made bunc of pages, and now that I want to set up one for myself -- I can't do it :/
[00:07]<grvxn>caffinated: yeah but i'm at work on lunch with no cash and no transport :P
[00:07]<rrppygrvnm>vinadelmar: I'm just fine, thanks.
[00:07]<pjffyvr>Jax: yes, because apache's primary group is apache
[00:08]<grvxn>anyway
[00:08]<rrppygrvnm>nathe: that's what overdraft is for
[00:08]<rrppygrvnm>nathe: you know, so you can sell your soul to the bank for pizza
[00:08]<svjzdzxzsnz>lol
[00:08]<grvxn>I'll give it one more shot in here, anyone know why a semaphore key might suddenly be invalidated when put in a race condition?
[00:08]<jrw>Pollita so is this optimal configuration?
[00:08]<rmvjrrvnm>anyone got any experience with apache mod_rewrite? having a few problems
[00:08]<drvvdaa>Mmm, forbidden pizza...
[00:08]<vygzdnfdzz>i heard you can sell your soul on ebay
[00:08]<pjffyvr>Jax: nonsense question.
[00:08]<grvxn>caffinated: I said I wanted it, not that I want to sell my soul for it ;P
[00:09]<rrppygrvnm>vinadelmar: it has been done. my boss was not impressed :x
[00:09]<pjffyvr>Advocated: Don't ask to ask, just ask.
[00:09]<vygzdnfdzz>i know
[00:09]<vxyzmly2z>plus ask in the right channel : P
[00:09]<jrw>true. advantages / disadvantages of this configurtion, Pollita ?
[00:09]<rmvjrrvnm>doing: RewriteRule ^guide/([0-9a-zA-Z_]+) index.php?page=$1 yet when i go to guide/1 im getting: Warning: main(guide/referencing_a_book.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream:
[00:09]<rrppygrvnm>vinadelmar: i doubt it. you don't know him.
[00:09]<rmvjrrvnm>Pollita gimme chance, i was typing :p
[00:09]<pjffyvr>Advocated: And yet you stoped to say that.
[00:09]<vygzdnfdzz>i mean i knew it already had been done before
[00:09]<rrppygrvnm>oh, ok
[00:09]<vxyzmly2z>Advocated: it might not be finding the file but im not positive
[00:09]<rmvjrrvnm>Pollita no, read what i put
[00:09]<vxyzmly2z>let me ask my uncle
[00:10]<vxyzmly2z>he says yes.
[00:10]<pjffyvr>Advocated: ^/guide
[00:10]<rmvjrrvnm>Pollita what do you mean by that?
[00:10]<pjffyvr>How is it that people miss that documentation on the RewriteRule page?
[00:10]<rrdrdr>so, how do I actually use a PECL extension?
[00:11]<pjffyvr>Advocated: I mean that you're missing a leading /
[00:11]<pjffyvr>enygma: pecl install extname
[00:11]<vxyzmly2z>oh that's cute. the new firefox update blew away all my bookmarks
[00:11]<vxyzmly2z>that's handy
[00:11]<rmvjrrvnm>Pollita nope, made no difference, that code above is what ive used previously, so i know the rewrite bit is ok, i just dont understand why its not taking me back to the page
[00:12]<svjzdzxzsnz>thirdLibr: That's what you het if you add explosive to FF...
[00:12]<fyv2>is there a linked list class in php?
[00:12]<svjzdzxzsnz>litb: probably... But why do you want it?
[00:12]<pjffyvr>litb: No, arrays are more than fine for that
[00:13]<jrw>just be sure to know the differences of rules in a .htaccess and rules in a vhost.conf file
[00:13]<fyv2>cause i want to read lines from a file and reverse them and print them out afterwards
[00:13]<jrw>mod_rewrite treats them differently. quite important to note.
[00:13]<pjffyvr>echo implode('',array_reserve(file($filename)));
[00:13]<pjffyvr>erm reverse
[00:13]<pjffyvr>not reserve :)
[00:13]<svjzdzxzsnz>reserve is okay, too :)
[00:14]<fyv2>Pollita: not that simple... the lines are encoded and contain serveral fields...
[00:14]<anssd_>hi, howto to delete directorie and files created by php in my ftp ?
[00:14]<pjffyvr>litb: That's not what you said.
[00:14]<jrw>jessy_: find . -user nobody -print0 | xargs -0 rm
[00:14]<jrw>be sure apache is running as nobody ;)
[00:14]<jrw>might be apache
[00:14]<fyv2>yeah, sorry :D
[00:14]<jrw>oh in your ftp.. >;/ have fun deleting by hand
[00:14]<anssd_>Jax, i can't do commands
[00:14]<fyv2>so, how can i use a arry for that? a=array(); a.push_back("hello") ??
[00:14]<pjffyvr>litb: Describe *precisely* what you want and we can try this again
[00:15]<vygzdnfdzz>never noticed this array_reverse() function
[00:15]<pjffyvr>$a = array(); $a[] = 'hello';
[00:15]<fyv2>i want to add something into a list and iterate reversly over it
