[00:08]<pzycot>night
[00:09]<njjzufisfrrd>anyone here know how i can retrieve the icon for a window that is displayed in the taskbar?
[00:10]<emurgmcj>Resource Hacker, NoorulIslaam
[00:10]<pxjgyrr>get its title, look up the hwnd and see what process spawned that window then GetIcon on the process
[00:13]<fyzn2rff>hm, and autochk produces a um exception => bad
[00:17]<njjzufisfrrd>Phonica GetIcon?
[00:18]<njjzufisfrrd>Phonica i can't find that function on MSDN
[00:18]<djapxggyx>anyone tried to run reactos on one of the mac minis with the core duo?
[00:19]<djapxggyx>or is there even smp builds yet?
[00:19]<jyg>LoadIcon?
[00:19]<jyg>oh wait, nevermin
[00:19]<jyg>d
[00:19]<jyg>I just woke up :P
[00:20]<njjzufisfrrd>Jin what function do i use to retrieve the icon of a window that is displayed in the taskbar?
[00:21]<njjzufisfrrd>i need to read out the image of the icon as a bitmap
[00:21]<njjzufisfrrd>and then send it over the network
[00:21]<jyg>isn't it GetIcon?
[00:22]<njjzufisfrrd>i looked but i couldn't find any such function
[00:22]<cjvdvd|rwrd>http://www.download.com/GetIcon/3000-2195_4-10124295.html
[00:22]<cjvdvd|rwrd>It's not a function
[00:22]<cjvdvd|rwrd>It's a utility
[00:23]<njjzufisfrrd>i cant use that lol
[00:23]<njjzufisfrrd>i'm writing a program
[00:23]<njjzufisfrrd>hmm
[00:23]<cjvdvd|rwrd>Resource Hacker
[00:23]<cjvdvd|rwrd>As suggested
[00:23]<njjzufisfrrd>i think i need to use GetClassLong with GCL_HICONSM
[00:24]<njjzufisfrrd>umm
[00:24]<njjzufisfrrd>if it's not a function that i can call from my source code
[00:24]<njjzufisfrrd>i can't use it
[00:25]<cjvdvd|rwrd>Why don't you just make your own icon?
[00:25]<njjzufisfrrd>that would make no sense for what i'm trying to do
[00:25]<jyg>what ARE you trying to do?
[00:26]<cjvdvd|rwrd>Wow, I read your mind and knew that, didn't I
[00:26]<njjzufisfrrd>Coviti|Away why are you being sarcastic?
[00:26]<njjzufisfrrd>Jin well...
[00:27]<njjzufisfrrd>i'm writing a seamless windows integrator on top of the remote desktop client+server
[00:27]<cjvdvd|rwrd>How are we supposed to effectively help when we don't even know what exactly you need?
[00:27]<cjvdvd|rwrd>That's better
[00:27]<njjzufisfrrd>Coviti|Away i told you what i needed lol
[00:27]<cjvdvd|rwrd>But you're just now explaining
[00:27]<jyg>you lost me at how
[00:28]<njjzufisfrrd>so whenever a new window is created on the server
[00:28]<njjzufisfrrd>it sends a message to the client with the window parameters
[00:28]<jyg>no but seriously, did you do an MSDN search for all the icon functions?
[00:28]<njjzufisfrrd>the client creates a dummy taskbar item
[00:28]<njjzufisfrrd>Jin yes
[00:28]<njjzufisfrrd>i think i found what i needed
[00:28]<njjzufisfrrd>but it wasn't in the icon section...
[00:28]<njjzufisfrrd>but thx for your help anyways
[00:29]<njjzufisfrrd>anyways, i needed the icon image from the server side to be transferred to the client side so the client can set it appropriately for the dummy taskbar item
[00:30]<cjvdvd|rwrd>So it's not any specific icon?
[00:30]<cjvdvd|rwrd>Just whichever icon is displayed
[00:30]<njjzufisfrrd>yeah
[00:30]<jyg>ah
[00:30]<cjvdvd|rwrd>Once again, explaining helps ;)
[00:31]<njjzufisfrrd>heh
[00:31]<njjzufisfrrd>i thought i had explained enough :/
[00:31]<pxjgyrr>EEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! :)
[00:31]<pxjgyrr>hey #reacots
[00:31]<pxjgyrr>*#reactos
[00:31]<njjzufisfrrd>didn't think anyone would presume i was trying to rip icons from programs :P
[00:32]<cjvdvd|rwrd>Reacots = Apricots?
[00:32]<cjvdvd|rwrd>Heehee
[00:32]<pxjgyrr>:P
[00:42]<emurgmcj>wb
[00:42]<afgw_ijggsau>thx babe
[00:43]<sdfggvldrrdrs>heya alex
[00:43]<jyg>lol
[00:44]<jyg>sup alex
[00:44]<jyg>ROS devs in the mufuckin building
[00:44]<afgw_ijggsau>http://cache.gizmodo.com/assets/resources/2006/06/vistadeletelarge.jpg => is fixed in the latest internal build, btw
[00:48]<ggajmgm>semprini
[00:50]<ggajmgm>semprini!
[00:50]<emurgmcj>lol
[00:50]<ggajmgm>wtf!?
[00:51]<ggajmgm>brb
[00:51]<jyg>O_o
[01:00]<bynnnx>who lives on their own and has to do their own washing?
[01:00]<sdfggvldrrdrs>me
[01:00]<bynnnx>how long would it take to wash a quilt cover and bed sheet
[01:01]<bynnnx>(both kingsize)
[01:01]<sdfggvldrrdrs>um
[01:01]<sdfggvldrrdrs>in your own house?
[01:02]<sdfggvldrrdrs>washers usually have a set length of washing time. usually it's about 30-40 minutes or so, depending.
[01:03]<sdfggvldrrdrs>you'll want to wash it on "full" or "large" or "big" or whatever is the one for teh biggest load
[01:03]<bynnnx>what temp for a very colourfull quilt cover, and sheet?
[01:03]<sdfggvldrrdrs>which will take a little longer because it's big
[01:03]<sdfggvldrrdrs>hmm
[01:03]<sdfggvldrrdrs>is this a top loader or front loader washer, by the way?
[01:03]<sdfggvldrrdrs>wash it on cold
[01:03]<bynnnx>front
[01:03]<sdfggvldrrdrs>cold will keep the colors fast and it won't shrink your sheets either
[01:03]<sdfggvldrrdrs>when you dry them though
[01:03]<sdfggvldrrdrs>it's gonna take a while for the quilt cover
[01:04]<sdfggvldrrdrs>sheets are usually pre-shrunk but a duvet cover is like..the kind of thing that is notorious for shrinking
[01:04]<sdfggvldrrdrs>so dry it on maybe like medium or even low or no heat if you can. it will take longer but once your cover shrinks it is nigh impossible to get it back to size and shape
[01:06]<sdfggvldrrdrs>you may even want to wash your quilt cover inside out, so that any linty lint that comes from the inside edges doesn't get all whingly on the outside, which is kind of like a common hazard
[01:07]<sdfggvldrrdrs>gosh i sound just like somebody's wife/mom/maid or something haha
