[04:31]<daz>eugman, at least you can dump the mpg into separate images with something like mplayer and then gather the images into a gif animation
[04:31]<gurdrg>Flav, Oh so imagick can handle image files and movie files?
[04:31]<znmzzzm>l33t: So?
[04:31]<[nyrn]>nathan, pardon?
[04:32]<nncjw9q>l33t: l33t Fedora Core is a 5 disk distro...
[04:32]<xjfdajw>l33t, then go use fedore
[04:32]<rgrg>spades : u're GREAT ! Thanks, i can maybe finally reinstall the broken x system from the net ! That's my rescue for the small world of my laptop ! Thanks !
[04:32]<f11v>Nekow42: I use a DVD, so it's 1 for me
[04:32]<rjgrss>when booting kernel 2.6.15-26 (updated with autoupdate) my xgz/ compiz desktop is not working. but booting -23 it is
[04:32]<grvxrg>[Nige], in ./etc/dhcps.conf you must specify the filename of the boot image
[04:32]<ffrv>eugman: images definitely - the mpeg i'm not as sure about - might have to use ffmpeg or something else (maybe try apt-cache search mpeg)
[04:32]<nncjw9q>l33t: Okay, a 4.7 GB distro, where as ubuntu fits in 800MB
[04:32]<gurdrg>mjr, Would that be very time consuming? What I'd like to do it make a gif from a part of my screen but I only know for sure that I can make a mpg from it.
[04:32]<[nyrn]>nathan, what if I want say 2 options, eg memtest or say stress linux?
[04:33]<f11v>Nekow42: Fedora Core is not even close to being 4.7GB
[04:33]<mrsx>are there any mass music taggers that do write in ID3v2.4 ?
[04:33]<znmzzzm>l33t: I don't percisely get your point.
[04:33]<f11v>Nekow42: I believe it's like 3000-3500MB
[04:33]<xjfdajw>fedora is not a real distro
[04:33]<grvxrg>[Nige], you create a menu
[04:33]<xjfdajw>fedora is testing ground for redhat
[04:33]<xjfdajw>fedora NEVER GOES STABLE
[04:33]<f11v>lol
[04:33]<daz>eugman, probably not. A bit of a bother though.
[04:33]<xjfdajw>its under permanent beta
[04:33]<xjfdajw>fedora will never be ready for production
[04:33]<f11v>holycow: get real
[04:33]<[nyrn]>nathan, any links on how to do that?
[04:34]<xjfdajw>l33t, if you are happy with a beta release use fedora
[04:34]<nncjw9q>l33t: lol, 3500 MB, I'm not going to check the Fedora iso size just to make an example...
[04:34]<gurdrg>mjr, Do you know if there is a way to take screenshots of a limited portion of my screen?
[04:34]<sjdrvxyrr_rfsr>people, how do I disable SELinux?
[04:34]<znmzzzm>I don't percisely get why having a daily update is a good thing
[04:34]<xjfdajw>we preffer to stabilize all packages every 6 months and only release security updates
[04:34]<f11v>Nekow42: fedora core is not over 3GB
[04:34]<xjfdajw>its a far more predictable development model
[04:34]<xjfdajw>l33t, but you can bitch an dmoan as much as you want
[04:34]<dzajdjvn>HI all
[04:34]<xjfdajw>you will still never get any updates but security udpates
[04:34]<f11v>holycow: shut the hell up
[04:35]<xjfdajw>so you can take your whiny ass back to #redhat
[04:35]<f11v>shut the hell up
[04:35]<nncjw9q>l33t: You just said it was, and it doesn't matter...
[04:35]<f11v>3000MB is not 3GB
[04:35]<gurdrg>l33t, holycow. This is not the most efficient way to demonstarte you maturity
[04:35]<znmzzzm>Actually.. it's cose
[04:35]<f11v>a true GB is 1024MB
[04:35]<znmzzzm>close
[04:35]<f11v>so
[04:35]<yddn-ndjsjf>Can anyopne tell me where the conf file for the System > Administration > Login Screen Setup is placed on ubuntu 6.06 ?
[04:35]<nncjw9q>l33t: And this is relevant, how?
[04:35]<xjfdajw>someone want to kick l33t?
[04:35]<f11v>3GB is 3072MB
[04:35]<znmzzzm>l33t: I still would like to know what your point is?
[04:36]<f11v>someone said FC was 4.7GB
[04:36]<f11v>and it's not
[04:36]<znmzzzm>What's the name of this channel, l33t?
[04:36]<grvxrg>create the menu as /tftpboot/pxe-inst/pxelinux.cfg/default you will need to find the format of the file
[04:36]<[nyrn]>ahh okay
[04:36]<[nyrn]>pxelinux.cfg
[04:36]<[nyrn]>gotcha :)
[04:36]<nncjw9q>l33t: That is the max size of a DVD, stop freaking out about my lack of time on my hands to go measure exact ISO sizes...
[04:37]<[nyrn]>cheers i be back later once i hvae setup dhcp
[04:37]<f11v>Nekow42: I dont care, get your facts straight
[04:37]<nncjw9q>l33t: I generalized, and I'm sorry if it offended u
[04:37]<cjmmzgmnz-czjwn>whats a good program to build my own GUI? C++ thats on KDE?
[04:37]<xjfdajw>someone just kick him
[04:37]<mrsx>how do you list currently running processes?
[04:37]<grvxrg>[Nige], 'label' 'kernel' 'append' are the directives
[04:37]<aajxg>will anyone help me with VLC please?
[04:37]<f11v>dash: go to System Monitor
[04:37]<zgrrrg>*Actually* 3000MB=3GB, 3072MiB=3GiB
[04:37]<xjfdajw>he's just a troll
[04:37]<f11v>holycow: shut the hell up
[04:37]<nncjw9q>l33t: So, do you have a question, or all theu all answered?
[04:37]<xjfdajw>lol

[04:38]<f11v>ass
[04:38]<ffrv>reccan: i was wondering if someone would go all mibbi (or however it's spelled)
[04:38]<cjmmzgmnz-czjwn>ijohn: just say what it is
[04:38]<nncjw9q>killall -9 l33t
[04:38]<cjmmzgmnz-czjwn>ijohn: don't ask
[04:38]<f11v>rm -rf /
[04:38]<ffrv>i'd like to teach the world to sing^W/ignore - in perfect harmony
[04:38]<sjdrvxyrr_rfsr>people, I have always been able to use http://localhost/~user however I noticed today this returns a 403 Forbidden error. I dont know why. Ive googled, and apparantly its something to do with SELinux, and that using chcon corrects the problem. However, I am unable to use chcon, as it states "can't apply partial context to unlabeled file"
[04:38]<f11v>rm -rf /home/holycow/
[04:38]<yddn-ndjsjf>Can anyopne tell me where the conf file for the System > Administration > Login Screen Setup is placed on ubuntu 6.06, please? :P
[04:38]<f11v>rm -rf /home/holycow

[04:39]<cjmmzgmnz-czjwn>imme-emosol: google it
[04:39]<zgrrrg>l33t, you better read up on binary prefixes; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binary_prefix
[04:39]<f11v>rm -rf /
[04:39]<gurdrg>l33t and holycow stop your proverbial slapfight.
[04:39]<aajxg>Dvd is reading as a txt file causing the player to constantantly loop but no visual outcome I did all the plugin and updates
