[00:44]<2gzgjufy>have moved up to 10 move
[00:44]<lzjpjx`>bernouli: when using firefox ?
[00:44]<ajxggd_>on both fr500 ?
[00:44]<2gzgjufy>profoX`, yes, i only use firefox
[00:44]<rjrvdrfn>hello
[00:44]<fuggdljjcyghrv>Imme-emosol, That's very strange.... sorry yo uhave to do this reinstall : (
[00:44]<scrvrrrr>Riyonuk: if you have space for a win32 partition to share files yeah thats pretty easy, thats what alot of ppl do to share files between the two
[00:44]<pzt00>johnny_: on the one you want to get files from at least
[00:44]<rjrvdrfn>can anyone help me configure wine?
[00:44]<dyrrxrjwrg>gean: your cd /contains/ the ISO? The ISO is supposed to be used as theimage for the CD...
[00:44]<lzjpjx`>bernouli: strange.. strange.. can you do "about:plugins" in the address bar and tell me what plugins and what versions of the plugins you are running, but don't flood the channel on my account :P
[00:44]<pzt00>johnny_: but itÅ› all apt-get install openssh-server
[00:44]<asnn00o>Question: Is it possible to access the Mac OSX filesystem (HFS+) from a LiveCD booted PPC Ubuntu 6.06 LTS ?
[00:44]<pzt00>you should do both
[00:44]<rddjguc>so they all use that drive then?
[00:44]<iddn-ndjsjf>FunnyLookinHat: :P
[00:45]<rgrg>bernoulli : do u have any idea how to compute bernoulli numbers (math) say modulo 157 ?!
[00:45]<zxzzfnsjzzj2s>hey guys I'm using the repo nvidia-glx drivers and glxinfo returns several lines of "Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0"." any ideas? here's my /var/log/Xorg.0.log http://pastebin.com/754398
[00:45]<rddjguc>or do they just make a fat32 partion for there files?
[00:45]<zzvncnnlnz>profoX`: Clean installed then I just added flash, java & the firefox plugins no problem (at least not yet)
[00:45]<iddn-ndjsjf>FunnyLookinHat: thanks anyway.
[00:45]<ffrggnf>gean: is the iso burned as an image? or did you burn the iso file itself? (when you open the cd, do you see the iso file?
[00:45]<ajxggd_>well i'm on the internet on this one and i only have one usb slot for internet
[00:45]<iddn-ndjsjf>FunnyLookinHat: bye
[00:45]<ajxggd_>so i'll have to switch
[00:45]<scrvrrrr>Riyonuk: they just make a new fat32 partition to share files between both OSes
[00:45]<mjjrrssj>I don't suppose anyone has an idea for my issue?
[00:45]<xzfmjz>profox`: konquerer plays fine with it using flash so seems to be a firefox issue
[00:45]<lzjpjx`>gatekeeper: firefox 1.5.0.4 and what plugins are you running in about:plugins ?
[00:45]<rjrvdrfn>can some one PM me and help me configure wine?
[00:45]<rddjguc>ahh you could have just told me to do that
[00:45]<ajxggd_>and when i want to use my ethernet for internet again do i just change it back to dhcp fr500 ?
[00:45]<vrvjfygc>hola
[00:45]<lzjpjx`>haldor: yes epiphany runs fine too with flash
[00:45]<2gzgjufy>profoX`, how can i copy paste the config?
[00:45]<lzjpjx`>seems to be a ubuntu-firefox-flash problem
[00:45]<ffrggnf>Riyonuk: you can use samba to share files, easily enough.
[00:45]<pzt00>johnny_: yes
[00:45]<ffrggnf>!tell Riyonuk about samba
[00:46]<lzjpjx`>bernouli: www.pastebin.ca :)
[00:46]<ajxggd_>ok openssh is installed on this one
[00:46]<ajxggd_>how do i move files
[00:46]<rgrg>Flannel : win* burned it as an iso, i can mount the cd in my /cdrom and see the file ubuntu-etcaetera.iso !
[00:46]<rddjguc>o_O
[00:46]<scrvrrrr>johnny_: mv
[00:46]<2gzgjufy>profoX`, i mean, how can i copy all the config, should i do it one by one?
[00:46]<ffrggnf>gean: then you need to burn it correctly then
[00:46]<rjrvdrfn>Can anyone help me configure wine?
[00:46]<scrvrrrr>gean: it didnt get burned as an iso then
[00:46]<ajxggd_>just mv file 192.168.1.2 ?
[00:46]<rgrg>Flannel : all the troubles after reboot after new kernek + upgrades installed !
[00:46]<lzjpjx`>bernouli: what do you mean ? the about:plugins, doesnt that just give you a list with the plugins + versions ?
[00:46]<ajxggd_>is there any way to do it with a gui so i can mv alot a files at once?
[00:46]<dyrrxrjwrg>Moocasso: do you have your regular laptop "mouse" enabled, in addition to the USB one?
[00:47]<rddjguc>ok...thats a little too complicated
[00:47]<rddjguc>ill stick with making a fat32
[00:47]<2gzgjufy>profoX`, ahh, ok, i did about:config, sec
[00:47]<ffrggnf>gean: your iso isn't really a ubuntu CD, you need to reburn it, correctly
[00:47]<scrvrrrr>johnny_: drag and drop with nautilus then
[00:47]<zxzzfnsjzzj2s>hey guys I'm using the repo nvidia-glx drivers and glxinfo returns several lines of "Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0"." any ideas? here's my /var/log/Xorg.0.log http://pastebin.com/754398
[00:47]<ajxggd_>how skavenge
[00:47]<mjjrrssj>micahcowan: I tried that, every time I do x server fails to start :P
[00:47]<svnpr>goatmale: /j #wine
[00:47]<ajxggd_>dont i need to set up a shared folder or something?
[00:47]<ffrggnf>johnny_: with what? ftp? samba? what?
[00:47]<ajxggd_>openssh-server
[00:47]<rddjguc>just by having a linux file on windows doesnt like encode it wrong or anything does it?
[00:47]<dyrrxrjwrg>Moocasso: even if you have the other mouse plugged in?
[00:48]<ajxggd_>to another computer with crossover
[00:48]<ffrggnf>Riyonuk: no. Did you read the samba page?
[00:48]<mjjrrssj>micahcowan: the other mouse is a touch pad :P
[00:48]<dwn>partimage seems really cool. I think it is succesfully creating a perfect mirror image of my mp3 player :)

[00:49]<dyrrxrjwrg>Moocasso: what I'm asking is, with the regular mouse plugged in, can you configure the touchpad to work?
[00:49]<mjjrrssj>micahcowan: Oh! Yes, I was using it during the whole process
[00:49]<2gzgjufy>profoX`, http://pastebin.ca/95293
[00:49]<ajxggd_>fr500, how do i move files to the other computer now?
[00:49]<mjjrrssj>micahcowan...hmmm...
[00:49]<czzf>in ubuntu, where is the asound.state file saved after an "alsactl store" is performed? ie, i'm trying to load backuped defaults, and need to overwrite the file so that I can do it, but don't know where it is saving it to.
[00:49]<rddjguc>yes...I had to do all these commands in ubuntu...which requires me to be connected to the internet...which i cant...thats why Im doing this in the first place, so I can download my stuff from windows and drag them over to ubuntu
[00:49]<rgrg>Flannel : The Win* mashine cannot do that... i cannot unpack it in Win* or burn it as an iso... BUT: the help.ubuntu page tells me something about: sudo moount -t iso9660 ubuntu-6.06-alternate-i386.iso /cdrom -o loop ; # command line does not work...
[00:49]<mjjrrssj>micahcowan: I don't know if I tried that for sure or not O.o I'll try it out, thanks! :)
[00:49]<zxzzfnsjzzj2s>hey guys I'm using the repo nvidia-glx drivers and glxinfo returns several lines of "Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0"." any ideas? here's my /var/log/Xorg.0.log http://pastebin.com/754398
[00:49]<2gzgjufy>profoX`, and i am still playing :)
[00:49]<scrvrrrr>gean: theres a thousand programs to burn it properly in windows, download one
[00:50]<ffrggnf>gean: it'll be easier to just burn as an image, and yes, windows can do that. I don't know how though. But, it'll be a LOT easier to just burn as an image instead of dealing with mounting as an image.
[00:50]<zjljzzr>nobody got this error in installation of ubuntu ? buffer I/O error on device dm-0 : logical block p.s = hd sata
[00:50]<zjljzzr>nobody got this error in installation of ubuntu ? buffer I/O error on device dm-0 : logical block p.s = hd sata
[00:50]<pzt00>johnny_: ok
[00:50]<svnpr>Riyonuk: very inefficient startegy.. get your ubuntu connected. I'll ask again: what kind of connection are you on?
[00:50]<zzvncnnlnz>!pastebin > gatekeeper
[00:50]<asnn00o>Is there an IRC channel for PPC specific discussions?
[00:50]<xzfmjz>anyone using kde? can't get sound from flash using konqeurer
[00:50]<rddjguc>dial-up
