[00:57]<syl>i did but nothing happen...
[00:57]<ajxggd_>i type in the password and it says it could not display fr500
[00:58]<dyrrxrjwrg>what is it that you want to be able to do with telnet?
[00:58]<rddjguc>so does that only tell you what driver you have?
[00:58]<rddjguc>and since I already know
[00:58]<rddjguc>is there like a list somewhere?
[00:58]<drfuc>how can i get a conexant modem working in 64bit dapper?
[00:58]<pzt00>johnny_: did you open the console and did what i said?
[00:58]<ajxggd_>yea
[00:59]<syl>Blissex, Skavenge, i did but nothing happen...
[00:59]<gg>no ideas?
[00:59]<pzt00>johnny_: what did it say?
[00:59]<scrvrrrr>sip: /msg nickserv help
[00:59]<gg>Oh well, time to get drunk
[00:59]<bfyssnw>sip: probably your IRC client opened a new tab/window for that.
[00:59]<scrvrrrr>nn: amen to that
[00:59]<syl>Skavege, i`ll try again...
[00:59]<lxznmzus99>micahcowan: i am trying to setup BIND9
[00:59]<ajxggd_>RSA key fingerprint is ca:52:ed:cf:56:2b:3e:bf:fb:67:c0: b9:fe:6a:fb:a8.
[00:59]<ajxggd_>Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no)? y es
[00:59]<ajxggd_>Warning: Permanently added '192.168.1.2' (RSA) to the li st of known hosts.
[00:59]<ajxggd_>johnny@192.168.1.2's password:
[00:59]<rddjguc>how would making a fat32 partion, putting my music on there, double them?
[00:59]<syl>maybe...
[00:59]<bfyssnw>sip: or it put the response in the server thingie.
[01:00]<scrvrrrr>sip: listen to Blissex, do you have another tab open next to the #ubuntu window?
[01:00]<vzyvyud>johnny_: please don't paste here
[01:00]<ajxggd_>sorry
[01:00]<gg>skavenge: i want my smartcard logins working.. i really wanna stuff my ssh key on my smartcard or some such..
[01:00]<dyrrxrjwrg>phaedrus: okay... I'm not sure what you need telnet for to do that?
[01:00]<syl>ahhhh i get it
[01:00]<ajxggd_>thast what it says fr500 then it goes back to the command line
[01:00]<pzt00>johnny_: then type yes
[01:00]<lxznmzus99>uh...i am reading this... http://langfeldt.net/DNS-HOWTO/BIND-9/DNS-HOWTO-2.html
[01:00]<zxzzfnsjzzj2s>hey guys I'm using the repo nvidia-glx drivers and glxinfo returns several lines of "Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0"." any ideas? here's my /var/log/Xorg.0.log http://pastebin.com/754398
[01:00]<pzt00>and then try the connect to server thingy again
[01:01]<scrvrrrr>nn: ssh is beyond me lol, i dont even bother im sure i'd pull my hair out
[01:01]<ajxggd_>i did
[01:01]<gg>skavenge: i've got ssh working fine, but i'd like to have a way to use my Army CAC card to login to my ssh hosts
[01:02]<ajxggd_>it just goes back to the prompt
[01:02]<gg>that way i dont have to bring my keys with me or remember a password just my CAC pin #
[01:02]<scrvrrrr>that'd be cool
[01:02]<dyrrxrjwrg>phaedrus: that HOWTO seems a little broken. There is no good reason for you to set up a telnet server for your box. Without one, telnetting to it will of course not work. I'll check ahead to see if they actually rely upon it in the document.
[01:02]<crllo>tritium, are you still here ?
[01:02]<gg>i had it working on debian
[01:03]<ajxggd_>fr500, when i try to connect to it from places > connect to server it gives here is no default action associated with this location.
[01:03]<drfuc>hi im a noobie and im trying to get my conexant modem working in 64bit dapper. Can someone help me?
[01:03]<aajxg>hi all
[01:03]<gg>skavenge: I'd pop in my smart card and just type in my username i wanted and if it was the first time since i inserted the card, it'd ask my pin #, else it'd log me right in
[01:03]<mjjrrssj>micahcowan: Okay, I think I lied, I can't get my MX1000 working at all now :P I'll work on getting that working first I guess
[01:03]<dyrrxrjwrg>phaedrus: afaict, what they actually want to be sure you can do is make connections on the internet. If you can make connections /to/ other machines from the one you're at, you should be golden.
[01:04]<pzt00>johnny_: did you select ssh? remove the folder name it doesnt care
[01:04]<rjrvdrfn>how do i uninstall something in terminal?
[01:04]<svr22d->Hey someone running ubuntu could do me a favor and run:::: apt-cache show xorg-driver-fglrx and after that tell me the version it displays
[01:04]<ajxggd_>yes fr500
[01:04]<scrvrrrr>goatmale: sudo apt-get remove packagename
[01:04]<rjrvdrfn>thanks
[01:04]<sxzdzjac_uc>@charlesjacobs - can you give us your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file please?
[01:04]<rjrvdrfn>apt get uninstall was my guess
[01:04]<rjrvdrfn>I was wrong..
[01:05]<zxzzfnsjzzj2s>shamrock_uk: yeah give me a second to upload it. is there a specific part you want to see?
[01:05]<ajxggd_>alright i got it fr500
[01:05]<pzt00>johnny_: worked?
[01:05]<ajxggd_>yea
[01:05]<sxzdzjac_uc>@charles - you can just paste it as a private message if its easier
[01:05]<pzt00>johnny_: ok, magic words?
[01:05]<aajxg>I just installed vlc on my acer latop 64bit the dvd is nt reading properly it perceives the files as txt for some reason any body know what to do

[01:06]<ajxggd_>i'm in debt
[01:06]<ajxggd_>thanks
[01:06]<bggszq0>Could anyone help me with a RPM install? I am new to linux
[01:06]<crllo>can anyone please help me with ndiswrapper, i have installed it via synaptic, loaded the windows driver, but when i try to do modprobe ndiswrapper, i get operation not permitted, what must i do now ?
[01:06]<sxzdzjac_uc>and yes, have a look under Section "Module" and see if 'glx' is commented out or not
[01:06]<pzt00>CappO: run it with sudo
[01:06]<scrvrrrr>CappO: try sudo modprobe ndiswrapper
[01:07]<lgjgjw>hi
[01:07]<scrvrrrr>CappO: and enter your user password when it asks

[01:07]<ffrggnf>Bensr20: are you sure you can only find an rpm of the package?
[01:07]<pzt00>Cappo no way
[01:07]<rjrvdrfn>can some one who uses wine PM me?
[01:07]<scrvrrrr>you dont want to be installing rpm
[01:07]<sxzdzjac_uc>@Ben - no worries, but be aware that it's not ideal, look for .debs if possible
[01:07]<zxzzfnsjzzj2s> Identifier "Default Layout"
